
Aaron Tippin is an American country singer, songwriter, and music producer born in 1958. Originally a songwriter for Acuff-Rose Music, he signed with RCA in Nashville in 1990. His debut single, "You've Got to Stand for Something", became an anthem for American soldiers during the Gulf War, establishing him as a neotraditionalist in country music. During his time with RCA, he released five studio albums and a greatest hits compilation. In 1998, he joined Lyric Street Records, where he recorded four more studio albums, including a Christmas collection. Aaron Tippin is celebrated for his focus on themes resonating with the American working class.
