A*Teens is a Swedish pop group formed in 1998. The band initially rose to fame with their debut album "The ABBA Generation" which featured cover versions of ABBA hits. This release brought the group international fame, particularly in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. A*Teens later began performing original songs, but were unable to replicate the success of their first album. The group ceased active activity in 2004, although there was no official announcement of their breakup. The band members subsequently pursued solo projects. A*Teens contributed to the popularization of dance-pop music in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
