The 4-Skins were a British oi!-punk band that formed in London in 1979. The band lasted until 1984, releasing two studio albums and one live album. Their work addressed sensitive social issues such as street violence, police brutality, corruption, war, and unemployment. Most of the band's members were skinheads, with the exception of Steve Pear and Хокстона Маккурта , one of the ideologists of the mod revival. The 4-Skins made a significant contribution to the development of oi!-punk, becoming one of the genre's key bands.
