Eric B. (real name Эрик Барриан ) is an American rapper, record producer, DJ, and actor from New York City, born November 8, 1963. He is best known as one half of the golden age hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim , which formed in 1986. Eric B. served as the group's main producer and DJ. Their debut album "Paid in Full" was voted the greatest hip hop album of all time by MTV in 2006. In 2011, the duo was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Eric B. made a significant contribution to the development of hip hop as a genre.
