I knew it was wrong but I had to do it anyway

You can’t listen with your mouth open

I won’t let anybody stand in my way

I am not my thoughts

My thoughts are not my own

Yet I follow them blind into the unknown

I’m not gonna change

The only way out is through

I need to reflect — I’m a target to a memory

But my past is not my definition

And I’m on the threshold of my adversity an epiphany

I’m afraid to think

I can only feel what I gave away

The absence is real
