Ein Blick zurück über all`die Jahre, auf ne gute, auf ne schlechte Zeit

Mal zart, mal hart kam das Leben auf mich zu — ich war nicht immer bereit

Freunde gingen, Freunde kamen und so manche schöne Frau

Oft verletzt, manchmal verirrt, bis ich dann wieder zu mir fand

So wie Fußspuren im Sand liegt die Vergangenheit hinter mir

Was vor mir liegt kann mir niemand sagen;

komm her und geh ein Stück mit mir

Es ist nicht Geld und nicht Macht was mich wirklich interessiert

Die letzte Rechnung macht ein anderer, dann zählt nur mehr wer du wirklich bist

So soll es sein, das ist mein Weg, es ging niemals gerade aus

Immer angeeckt, manchmal umgefallen, doch ich stand immer wieder auf!

Das ist mein Leben, das ist mein Weg, mal bergab und mal bergauf

Bläst mir der Wind auch ins Gesicht, ich gebe meine Ziele niemals auf!

Often hurt, sometimes lost, until I found myself again

Like footprints in the sand, the past is behind me

Nobody can tell me what lies ahead;

come and walk a little with me

It's not money and it's not power that really interests me

Someone else does the last calculation, then only who you really are counts

That's how it should be, that's my way, it never went straight

Always bumped into, sometimes fell over, but I always got up!

This is my life, this is my way, sometimes downhill and sometimes uphill

Even if the wind blows in my face, I never give up on my goals!
