Ich schau empor in den Himmel, die Nacht ist sternenklar

Nur ein paar kleine Wolken ziehen vorbei, die sind im Leben immer da

Sehe den Mond dort bei den Gipfeln — ganz hell und klar

Ich inhaliere den Wind, der leise weht, ich fühle die Freiheit

Ich bin frei, frei wie ein Vogel, wie die Schwalben am Himmelszelt

Und auch du mein Freund kannst es sein, denn dir gehört die Welt

Ich bin frei für meine Träume und bereit für das wahre Leben

Ich bin frei und diese Freiheit, die lasse ich mir von niemandem nehmen!

Sie winseln und untergraben, sie wollen mir sagen, was falsch und richtig ist

Mit Parolen und Versprechungen, wobei du am Ende der Verlierer bist

Führer führen an der Nase rum, das war schon immer so

Ich gehe meinen eigenen Weg, folge meinen Zielen -lass dich nicht unterkriegen-
