Ich hab manchmal das Gefühl ein Hochstapler zu sein

Ich weiß nicht genau warum

Es ist wie ein Schwert das über mir schwebt

Ein Gerücht, eine Andeutung

Mir wird oft schlagartig klar was für ein Schwindler ich war

Schon viele tausend mal

Es kommt zu mir wie ein Geräusch an der Tür

Ein Lichtstrahl im Kinosaal

Ich renne lieber als dass ich stehe

Weil ich höre wie mein Herz dann schlägt

Ich hab Angst dass ich sonst untergehe

Oder dass man mich begräbt

Ich habe glücklicherweise keine Albträume mehr

Oder keine Erinnerung

Etwas auszuhalten fällt mir schwer

Doch fürcht' ich mich vor Veränderung

Ich bleibe lieber als dass ich gehe und ich bleibe gerne lange

Selbstgespräche führe ich weil ich nicht leise denken kann

I often suddenly realize what a swindler I was

Many thousands of times

It comes to me like a noise at the door

A ray of light in the cinema hall

I'd rather run than stand

Because I hear how my heart beats then

I'm afraid that I'll go down otherwise

Or that they will bury me

Luckily I don't have nightmares anymore

Or no memory

I find it difficult to endure

But I'm afraid of change

I'd rather stay than go and I like to stay long

I talk to myself because I can't think quietly
