Скрежет мыслей своих,

Лови звуки, учи их.

Вот капля дождя,

Вот капля засохших морей,

Вот скрип всегда открытых дверей.

Вот зовут тебя,

Хоть и рядом стоят.

Вот просят и ждут,

Кто обжегся о ярость любя.

Тихо, стой, заглуши

Злобу, рану свою,

Слышишь, сколько поют?

Вот мимо тебя,

Вот мимо затасканных слов,

Посчитай, сколько новых шумов.

Вот утих пожар

В беспокойных очах.

Вот жадность и страх

Затихли на вечных путях.

Теперь слышишь,

Между шумом машин,

Между треском горящих церквей,

Между хрустом усохших морей

Тихо капает хлип,

Разрывает он сердце твое.

Так ребенок поет о пропаже,

Слезою печальной поет,

Тихо прячась в углу,

Терпит боль и сильней

Разъедает щеки его

Ручьями солей.

Всхлипнув, тонет звук

В шуме века,

И отчаянно в нем велика

Одинокая скорбь,

Жалость о человеке —

Это плачет земля,

Слышишь, плачет земля.
