Magnificat anima mea Dominum,

et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo.

Quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae.

Ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes.

Quia fecit mihi magna, qui potens est,

et sanctum nomen eius.

Et misericordia eius a progenie in progenies

timentibus eum.

Fecit potentiam in brachio suo,

dispersit superbos mente cordis sui.

Deposuit potentes de sede

et exaltavit humiles.

Esurientes implevit bonis

et divites dimisit inanes.

Suscepit Israel puerum suum,

recordatus misericordiae suae.

Sicut locutus est ad patres nostros,

Abraham et semini eius in saecula.

Gloria Patri et Filio

et Spiritui Sancto,

sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper

et in saecula saeculorum.

My soul magnifies the Lord,

and my spirit rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Because he has respected the humility of his handmaid.

For behold from this time all generations will declare me blessed.

Because he who is powerful has done great things for me

and his holy name.

And his mercy is from progeny to progeny

those who fear him.

He did power with his arm

he has scattered the proud in the mind of his heart.

He put down the powerful from his seat

He exalted the humble.

Hungry fills with good things

and he sent the emissaries away empty-handed.

Israel took his servant

remembering his mercy.

As I said to our fathers

Abraham and his descendants in the world.

Glory to the Father and the Son

and the Holy Spirit

as it was in the beginning, and now, and always

and in the ages of the ages.
