O casamento é vento que não para

Pra conjugar o conjugal

Do verbo amar o essencial

Está na primeira pessoa do plural

Aval incondicional

E a adesão quase total

De uma pessoa a outra pessoa no final

Para seguir a vida a dois

Ou três ou quatro pessoinhas

Que virão depois no verbo procriar

A vida de um casal

Escada que não para de subir

Degrau após degrau

E nunca vai chegar ao céu

Que o céu já não tem mais lugar

Para mais nenhum mortal

O céu real nós vamos construindo aqui no chão

Porção de sofrimento, tijolo, cimento e cal

A laje do bem, no lamaçal do mal

 Marriage is wind that doesn't stop

Sometimes a light breeze and little regret

Sometimes a storm in a teacup

That we can't resist

To conjugate the marital

From the verb to love the essential

It is in the first person of the plural

unconditional endorsement

And almost total adherence

From one person to another person in the end

To follow life together

Or three or four little people

Which will come later in the verb to procreate

Ladder that doesn't stop going up

rung after rung

And it will never reach heaven

That heaven has no more place

For no more mortal

The real sky we are building here on the ground
