Como el viento norte

galopando por los pueblos

viene el Circo Criollo

desenterrando recuerdos.

Payasos ansiosos,

actores amarillentos,

hurgando el silencio

de los sufridos obreros.

Se alzan los parantes

la carpa se acerca al cielo

ya todo esta listo

para que empiece el misterio.

Errante y viajero

por los caminos del tiempo

viene el Circo Criollo

desenterrando recuerdos.

II Canto de alegría

el circo ha llegado al pueblo

mi almita de niño

ansiosa de echarse al vuelo.

La gente se acerca

a contemplarlo en silencio

la carpa es tan grande

se me hace que esto es un sueño.

Se escapa un recuerdo

de alguna niña en el tiempo

volveré a encontrarla

cuando ese circo haya vuelto.
