Er landet hvor de svarte sjeler bor

Med svart vikingblod

Tar vi over vår gamle tro

Den svake kristendom

Ligger død ved neste pest

Pesten sprer seg raskt

Over isfjell

Og gjennom dype daler

Øde ligger jorden

Der dauden har gjort sitt verk

Vikinger av den norske horde

Hold landet rent

Med deres sterke sjeler

I dette mørke vinterland I nord

Skal vi beskytte oss

Blåser gjennom vinterlandet
