Mein Freund Rüdi - PUR

Er lebt in einer andern Welt

Es ist schwer, ihn zu verstehn

Und daß er nicht wie andere ist

Das ist ihm wohl auch anzusehen

Schreiben und Lesen ist ihm fremd

Vieles vergißt er, manches nicht

Z.B. Herzlichkeit die nie

Oh nein, die trägt er stets in sich

Und steht er vor den Boxen

Und groovt sich langsam ein

Und drückt sich an mein Ohr

Und flüstert nur 'mein Freund'

Dann denk' ich, er muß was ganz Besonderes sein

Keiner rockt, wie er das tut

Er hat den Groove total im Blut

Er muß da mit, er grinst vor Glück:

Mein Freund Rüdi lebt Musik

Vor und zurück, er flippt und schwitzt

Oft stundenlang, kennt jedes Lied

Und wer den Tiger tanzen sieht

Vergißt den Zufallsunterschied

Liebe Chaoten, Kindereien

Da ist was los in seinem Heim

Arbeitet er und fühlt und liebt

Ein kleiner Schritt kann Großes sein

Er drückt mich lieb und lang:

'Bis bald dann im Konzert'

Reich, schön, berühmt

Ist plötzlich nicht mehr so viel wert

Das Leben muß was ganz Besonderes sein

He lives in another world

It's difficult to understand him

And that he is not like others

You can probably see that too

Writing and reading is alien to him

He forgets many things, some not

E.g. cordiality that never

Oh no, he always carries it with him

And he stands in front of the boxes

And slowly grooves in

And presses against my ear

And only whispers 'my friend'

Then I think it must be something very special

Nobody rocks like he does

He has the groove totally in his blood

He has to go with it, he grins with happiness:

My friend Rüdi lives music

Back and forth, he flips and sweats

Often for hours, knows every song

And who sees the tiger dancing

Forget the random difference

Dear chaos, childishness

There's something going on in his home

He works and feels and loves

A small step can be a big one

He hugs me dearly and long:

'See you soon at the concert'

Rich, beautiful, famous

Suddenly it's not worth that much anymore

Life must be something very special
