Sull’Oceano Atlantico, la notizia passò

Dalle Azzorre, all’Africa, ogni nave svegliò

Il ragazzo del cielo è arrivato a metà

Del suo viaggio da solo

Forse ce la farà

La luna all’orizzonte

Bagnò di luce bianca la fronte stanca dell’uomo

Finché a levante apparve il mattino

E nell’aria gelida, finalmente scoppiò

Un’aurora magica, che la notte incendiò

E si accese il mare, sulla porta dell’est

Poi l’Europa nel sole, dietro al porto di Brest

Non c’era più la luna

Ma dove in quel momento era notte

C'è chi sorpreso

Vide la luna fare un sorriso
