The English Room is much like an old house*

Couldn’t forget your scent if I tried to

A simple tavern nestled in a slow town

I’m sure I’ve thought of you more than you’ve thought of me

The Monday clientele is quite substantial

I’d like to have you if I could somehow

Upstairs is quiet, there’s less than a handful

But what is love if I can’t be with you now

Must you leave oh so soon

Bartender broke his neck but he walks now

Your gentle snoring feels reassuring

The type of bar with a shower in the bathroom

Some things I’d tell you but I’ll wait till you leave

They’re playing darts, but we don’t pay attention

Seems like we’re moving in different directions

It’s getting late and I wish we had more time
