Llevo ya una copa de más, aquí en La Sed Mortal, cuando entra Dodó.

Y yo no me muevo de aquí, y aun así habré de llegar a la conclusión de que no

hay un ser más culpable que yo -ni lo habrá- sobre la tierra.

Y empiezo a pedir

así:

Por las cosas que siento y por aquellas que odio sentir;

por mi mala cabeza;

porque mi calavera, ella, no dejará de reír;

por las lunas nuevas;

por las cosas revueltas que dan vueltas dentro de mí;

por seis años de penas

y por cosas que ni tan siquiera me atrevo a decir;

perdón por mis pies siempre fríos;

por la noche pasada, y por la otra, y por aquella también;

perdón por el Gran Sinsentido;

por querer comprenderlo y, sobretodo, por no comprender…

Perdón.

Y Dodó me observa, y yo le oigo rezar así:

-Perdón por existir-.

Y amablemente invito a un güisqui a Dodó, y él me cuenta que incluso los perros

Después, salimos agarrados de La Sed
