Ich denk' zurück, kann mich für paar Sekunden selber seh’n

Blicke aus dem Fenster, warte auf den ersten Schnee

Ging’n nur ins Haus, um uns kurz aufzuwärm'n

Wir träumten, dass wir Astronauten werden

Jede Kleinigkeit war pures Gold

Bauten Häuser nicht mit Zäunen, sondern nur auf Bäum'n

Durch den Regen, nur mit T-Shirt, ohne Anorak

Ging’n durch dick und dünn, egal wie viel der andre hat

Machten Deals mit Mama, nur um länger wachzubleiben

Keine Ruhe vor dem Sturm, ließen Drachen steigen

Auf dem Fußballplatz, auch wenn keine Sonne scheint

Wir wollten so wie unsre Helden in den Comics sein

Hatten viel ohne ein’n Cent in unserm Portemonnaie

Und dachten keinen Augenblick daran mal fortzugeh’n

Als Kind hab' ich noch nicht gewusst, dass nichts für lange bleibt

Dass man Vergangenheit mit Diamanten schreibt

Ich schließ' die Augen und vermiss' die Zeit

Wieder zuhause in mei’m Zimmer sein — hätt' ich ein’n Wunsch

Würd' ich zurück zum ersten Klingelstreich

Und nochmal Teil von der Geschichte, nur ich und die Jungs

Wir dachten, so wird es für immer sein

Doch dann verging die Zeit, wir sind die Letzten von uns

Und ganz egal, wohin der Wind uns treibt

Eine Verbindung bleibt für die Ewigkeit

Heute seh' ich, wie so langsam alle Eltern werden

Und mein Spiegelbild verrät mir, dass wir älter werden

Wir seh’n die Welt, wollen viel und am besten gleich

Früher war’n wir voll zufrieden mit 'nem Becher Eis

Manche ging’n studier’n, einer ging zu früh

Die Eine glaubte, so’n Gefühl kann sie nie wieder fühl'n

Manchmal muss man darauf hör'n, was ei’m das Herz befiehlt

Und ich, ich mach' das seit ich sechzehn bin mit der Musik

Früher dachten wir, so wie es ist, wird’s immer bleiben

Tüte voller Süßigkeiten und im Schwimmbad fighten

Aus «Wir sind allerbeste Freunde» wurde «Hi, wie geht’s?»

«Bis zum nächsten Mal!», und jeder geht sein’n eignen Weg

Fahr' durch die Stadt, kann alte Bilder seh’n

Und unser Platz ist wie vom Wind verweht

Es kommt vor, als wär'n wir gestern noch nicht groß gewesen

Und wenn ich könnte, würd' ich das nochmal von vorne leben

Today I see how slowly everyone becomes a parent

And my reflection tells me that we are getting older

We see the world, want a lot and preferably right away

We used to be completely satisfied with a cup of ice cream

Some went to study, one left too early

One believed that she could never feel that feeling again

Sometimes you have to listen to what your heart commands

And me, I've been doing this with music since I was sixteen

We used to think it will always stay the way it is

Bag full of candy and fight in the pool

"We're best friends" became "Hi, how are you?"

«See you next time!», and everyone goes their own way
