And I say that’s all when the curtains fall

Then I’ll spend my time where the shadows crawl

In the soft warm light of the desert night

I’ve been there and I’ve seen it all

But I won’t leave 'til my debt is paid

'Til the sun is nigh, 'til the wind is (stale??)

'Til the aster grows and gets tired of life

Still on the hill

Now my sleep is sound for a sweet short time

I can look back now I can choose what’s mine
