Un beau jour

Où peut-être une nuit

Près d’un lac

Je m'étais endormie

Quand soudain

Semblant crever le ciel

Et venant de nulle part

Surgit un aigle noir

Lentement, ses ailes déployées

Lentement, je le vis tournoyer

Près de moi

Dans un bruissement d’ailes

Comme tombé du ciel

L’oiseau vient se poser

Il avait les yeux couleur d’une île

Et des plume aux couleurs de la nuit

À son frond brillant de mille-feux

L’oiseau-roi couronné

Portait un diamant bleu

Dans son bec, il a touché ma joue

Dans ma main, il a glissé son cou

C’est alors, que je l’ai reconnu

Surgissant du passé

Il m'était revenu

Dis l’oiseau

Oh!

dis emmène-moi

Retournons au pays d’autrefois

Dans mes rêve d’enfant

Pour cueillir en tremblant

Des étoiles, des étoiles

Comme avant

Sur un nuage blanc

Comme avant

Rallumer le soleil

Être faiseur de pluie

Et faire des merveilles

L’aigle noir

Dans un bruissement d’ailes

Prit son vol, pour regagner le ciel

A beautiful day

A black eagle appears

Slowly her wings spread

Slowly I saw it twirl

Near me

In a rustle of wings

Like fallen from the sky

The bird comes to rest

He had eyes the color of an island

And feathers in the colors of the night

To its brilliant front of a thousand fires

The crowned bird-king

Wore a blue diamond

In his beak he touched my cheek

Into my hand he slipped his neck

That's when I recognized him

Rising from the past

He came back to me

Say the bird

say take me

Let's go back to the land of old

In my childhood dreams

To pick while shaking

On a white cloud

The black Eagle
