Hai fatto tutta quella strada per arrivare fin qui

E ti è toccato partire bambina

Con una piccola valigia di cartone

Che hai cominciato a riempire

Due foglie di quella radura che non c’era già più

Rossetti finti e un astuccio di gemme

E la valigia ha cominciato a pesare

E dovevi ancora partire

E ti sei data e ti sei presa qualche cosa chissà

Ma le parole che ti sono avanzate

Sono finite tutte nella valigia

E lì ci sono restate

Sole pioggia neve e tempesta

Nella valigia e sulla tua testa

E gambe per andare

E bocca per baciare

Hai fatto tutta quella strada

Per arrivare fin qui

Ma adesso forse ti puoi riposare

C'è un bagno caldo e qualcosa di fresco

Da bere e da mangiare

E piano piano ti faccio vedere:

C’erano solo quattro farfalle

Un po' più dure a morire
