Marie hab ich am Bein berührt

Im Mai zur Mittagszeit

Vom Pferde fiel sie mir zu Füß

Und später fiel ihr Kleid

Sie lag ganz weich in meinem Arm

War völlig ohne Wehr

Doch plötzlich stand ihr Mann vor mir

Mit seinem Schrotgewehr
