I saw the world was turning

The guilt inside was yearning

I put my hand into

The vision pit and drew

Between sleeping and dreaming

I woke up, more or less

Before my vision quest

Between wanting and needing

My eyes so tired, my vision blurred

Is this that place where i have returned?

I’m kneeling

I’m reeling

A witness of solitude

The honour and the virtue gone

Just tears that kiss the hungry stone

I bought the starving food

I ended wars and moved

Between sleeping and dreaming

I flew to orpheus

I found i d turned to dust

Between morning and evening

My head so full, my hearing gone

Shut in the dark i was not so alone

I’m praying

I’m waiting

Forgiveness, in excess;

hope

Within these walls no window frame

Just bars that lock in all of this pain

I put my thoughts into

The vision pit i knew

Between sleeping and dreaming

If this is paradise

I ve lived another life

Between staying and leaving…
