In ihrer letzen Schlacht

Was bleibt von uns übrig

Wenn der letze Ton verklingt?

Wenn niemand mehr da draußen

Uns’re Lieder singt?

Was bleibt von uns übrig

Wenn der Tod uns zu sich nimmt?

Und ein Chor gefall’ner Engel

Unser Requiem anstimmt?

In leer gelebten Räumen

Ist nichts mehr zu hören

Die unwegsame Stille

Droht alles zu verzehren

Der ewig lange Schatten

Hat sich alles einverleibt

Kein Stern steht mehr am Himmel

Doch die Frage bleibt

What is left of us?

When nobody else is out there

Sing our songs?

Can't hear anything anymore

The impassable silence

Threatens to consume everything

The ever long shadow

Has incorporated everything
