Es gibt laute Redner, es gibt laute Dichter

Autoren und Sänger, so viele Propheten, die Zuspruch suchen

Und dann gibt es auch noch stille Poeten

Ein kleiner Junge ist groß für sein Alter

Schlecht in der Schule, die Hefte zerknickt

Man fühlt schon die Blicke der Mütter ihn werten

Er geht immer gebückt

Man sagt, er sei dumm, sein IQ sagt was andres

Ein Underachiever, ein verkapptes Genie

Während Lehrer belächeln und Mitschüler lachen

Schreibt er still Poesie

Manchmal wenn du innehältst

Für einen Augenblick

Wenn du statt in Gesichter

Nur in Augen blickst

Kannst du sie hör'n, die stillen Poeten?

Hörst du, was sie erzähl'n?

Die stillen Poeten, hörst du?

Da steh’n Geschichten zwischen den Zeilen

Die davon leben, dass wir sie teilen

Kannst du sie hör'n, die stillen Poeten überall?

Ein junges Mädchen rauchend vorm Laptop

Macht immer nur Chaos, doch will Struktur

'Ne trinkende Mutter, Versprechen so leer wie die Flaschen im Flur

Und da ist dieser Typ, der immer nur Stress sucht

Kommt jemand zu nah, boxt er ihn aus dem Weg

In der hintersten Ecke seines unruhigen Kopfs sitzt ein stiller Poet

Manchmal wenn du innehältst

While teachers smile and classmates laugh

Does he quietly write poetry
