Quel che negli occhi altrui riesco a vedere

Ma l’incomprensione s’impadronisce di me

Tutto svanisce, gli sguardi spenti e nulla più

Così tutti i miei sforzi non mi han fatto sapere

Mentre avrei dovuto solo stare ad aspettare

Perché chi non vive non può essere felice

S’allontana invano dall’umana condizione

Vinto da una malsana fame della mente
