Dich zu verlassen ist unmoeglich,

Wie weit man sich auch gehen laesst.

Nein, wir behandeln uns nicht pfleglich,

Und dennoch halten wir uns fest.

Du bist so nuechtern und magnetisch,

Hast nie bewundert, was mich quaelt.

Wenn ich berauscht bin, wird’s pathetisch.

Ich kann nicht rechnen, doch ich weiss, was zaehlt:

Jeder Tag mit dir ist eine Reise um die Welt,

Immer kommt man bei sich selber an.

Jeden Tag verlauf ich mich in deinem Labyrinth

Aus Lava und aus Stillem Ozean.

Kaum bist du fort und man vermisst dich,

Von keinem Traum bleibt man verschont.

Fast wie das Haus, in dem man wohnt.

Komme, was da wolle,

Hauptsache, dass du bleibst.

Alle koennte kopfstehn,

Immer kommt man bei sich selber an.
