Ma dove andremo a finire se continua così?

Si sente spesso dire dalla gente qua e là

Continua violenza, scandali, imbrogli e mali:

Dove sono finiti i veri, grandi ideali?"

E' vero, il mondo oggi si dipinge a tinte scure

Si esaltano gli equivoci, le scene crude e dure

Soldi e facili successi col piglia, usa e getta

Però, mi si permetta: non è questa la sola umanità

Conosco un’altra umanità

Quella che spesso incontro per la strada;

Quella che non grida, quella che non schiaccia

Per emergere sull’altra gente

Conosco un’altra umanità

Quella che non sa rubare per avere

Ma sarà contenta di guadagnare

Il pane con il suo sudore

Credo, credo in questa umanità

Che vive nel silenzio, che ancora sa arrossire

Sa abbassare gli occhi e sa scusare

Questa è l’umanità che mi fa sperare

Conosco un’altra umanità

Quella che ora va controcorrente;

Quella che sa dare anche la sua vita

Per morire per la propria gente

Conosco un’altra umanità quella che non cerca mai

Il suo posto al sole quando sa che al mondo

Per miseria e fame tanta gente muore

Credo, credo in questa umanità

Che abbatte le frontiere, che paga di persona

Che non usa armi, ma sa usare il cuore

Questa è l’umanità che crede nell’amore
