Es kam mir so vor

Sie meinten’s gut mit mir

Und wollten’s mir nicht vergönnen

Dabei war’s guter Rat

Den ich nicht angenommen hab

Bin auf die Fresse gefalle’n

Es hieß, bleib doch zuhaus

Es kommt nix schlaues dabei raus

Zuhause kann Dir nichts passieren

Und ich weigerte mich

Schlief mit der Fresse auf’m Tisch

Klar, war’s damals obercool

Wie oft soll’n wir’s Dir noch sagen

Du wirst auch noch schlau, kommst selber drauf

Wirst auch noch ruhiger

Und heut muß ich beichten:

Es kam so, wie sie sagten, es gibt Tage, an denen ich lieber zuhause bleib

Und mir vor dem Fernseher die Zeit vertreib

Man ging auch aus, hat im Bancomat übernachtet

Um nicht nachhause zu gehen

Früher war’s auch ein kleines Problem, nach ner durchzechten Nacht

Morgens aufzustehe’n

Und zur Arbeit zu geh’n und dann trotzdem um zehn am Abend

Wieder die Sterne zu suchen

It seemed like that to me

They meant well by me

And didn't want to give it to me

It was good advice though

which I didn't accept

I fell on my face

It said stay at home

Nothing clever comes of it

Nothing can happen to you at home

And I refused

Slept with his face on the table

Sure, it was super cool back then

How often should we tell you

You'll get smart too, figure it out yourself

You'll be even calmer

And today I have to confess:

It came as they said, there are days I'd rather stay at home

And pass the time in front of the TV

We also went out and stayed at the ATM

In order not to go home

It used to be a small problem after a night of drinking

to get up in the morning

And going to work and then still at ten in the evening

Looking for the stars again
