Fireflies - Favorite Star

You would not belive your eyes

if ten million fireflies

lit up the world as i fell asleep

Cus they fill the open air

and leave teardrops everywhere

you think me rude

but i will just stand and stare

I’d like to make myself believe

that planet earth turns slowly

it’s hard to say that i’d rather stayed awake when i’m asleep

Cus everything is never as it seems

Cause i get a thousand hugs

from tenthousand lightning bugs

As they tried to teach me how to dance

a Foxtrott above my head

a soc-hop beneave my bed

a disco ball is just hanging by a threat
