I no longer wich to compete

I withdraw to niches unoccupied

To hidden places between the rocks

Or to the porches of high bound caves

O to the theaters within hollow trees

Or to any other place where the zeal of silence might be

I no longer wish to please the lord named profits

I only wish to sail with the wind to a distant place

Where there’s no coin or skyline and highways nvere were

T a place where verses are sung by rough-hewn poets of the rocks who thrill to

the wind and rain

With fame greater than bonds and stocks
