Birds In The Backyard - Elf Power

Birds are in the backyard, hiding from the rain

The children knock-knock softly to the (?) windowpanes

Then gracefully, like kings and queens, the birds rise to the sky

The children wish to follow them but know they cannot try

They float on past the jailhouse, where the villains wave in vain

Thinking about shrinking down and floating far away

So when the birds pass by your house, at morning or at night

Think of all the things that you would see if you could fly
