Kai aus der Kiste - Eisregen

Kai feiert Weihnachten im Schuhkarton

denn dort wohnt er immer schon

hat einen Wunsch nur an den Weihnachtsmann

einen Wäschekorb in dem er so richtig toben kann

Gleich nach der Geburt

hat sein Vater laut gesagt

dass er den Kai nicht gerne mag

das hat die Mutter sehr erschreckt

und so hat man den Kai

in einen Schuhkarton gesteckt

Ich bin der Kai aus der Kiste

wenn nur das Sozialamt wüsste

dass es mir zu Haus' nicht wohl ergeht

er ist der Kai aus der Kiste

wenn nur jeder wüsste

dass der Kai das gar nicht mag

doch niemand hat ihn je danach gefragt

Vierzehn Jahre alt wird heut' der Kai

die Zeit im Schuhkarton ist nun vorbei

er ist jetzt viel zu groß und viel zu schwer

und endlich muss sein Wäschekorb nun her

Er hat 'nen eigenen Wunderbaum

so riecht der Junge nach Vanillefrühlingstraum

viel mehr Platz dort drinnen ist ja nicht

und so drückt dem Kai

das Gitter ins Gesicht

Als ausgewachsener Mann

fängt für ihn der Ernst des Lebens an der Korb wird ihm zu klein

und er zieht jetzt ganz woanders ein

hier wo nie die Sonne scheint

wo sich Dunkel mit Gestank vereint

wo nicht mal ein Fernseher steht

der Platz dafür ist so rar gesät

und wird der Kai mal ernstlich krank

da rappelts laut im Schrank

im Schrank

Right after birth

his father said aloud

that he doesn't like Kai

this frightened my mother

The quay turns fourteen today

the time in the shoebox is over now

it is now far too big and far too heavy

and finally his laundry basket has to be here

He has his own miracle tree

so the boy smells like vanilla spring dream

there isn't much more space in there

and so presses the quay

the grille in the face

As a grown man

the seriousness of life begins for him the basket becomes too small for him

and he's moving in somewhere completely different now

here where the sun never shines

where darkness meets stench

where there isn't even a television

the space for it is so rare

and the quay gets seriously ill

there's a loud rattle in the closet

in the cupboard
