Mislead the youth, and they’ll follow you til death.

The choir is fading on this funeral march of human progress.

I accept this suffering as inherent,

and not a consequence of sin inherited.

The burden of your belief, it falls on us.

These ideas hold no weight, so commit them to the flames.

Victims of faith: your life lies before you

waiting for you to take it.

Promise, potential, passion;

wasted.

You run from death when you should embrace it.

Fear of god or just afraid of death?

I too was raised on the threat of hell.

But are you convinced that it’s so different

from where you are now?

Fire and brimstone driven into your head.

Guilt and shame forced into your heart.

Committed to the flames.
