In Dunkelheit reißt mich der Glaube

Deine Gedanken gebrannt in mein Hirn

Von Skepsis geplagt, doch niemals gefragt

Was wir wirklich sind

Befremdlich geboren, im Keim schon erfroren

Zersplittertes Eis scharrt tief in mein Fleisch

Du gabst mir die Hand, bevor du verschwandst

Bevor es alles verschwand

Die Erde, sie schüttelt mich von ihrem Rücken

Losgelöst vom Boden, der mich hat nie geboren

Will sie nicht, dass ich auf ihr verweile

Und ich falle zurück ins All, in die Unendlichkeit

Mir scheint, als ob ich niemals gelebt

Keine Pflicht trübt mir jetzt noch die Sicht

Gebettet im Firmament seh' ich auf dich hernieder

Sehe das, was wir wirklich sind

Ich rase zu Grunde, verbreite die Kunde

Doch die Skepsis ist groß, man wird sie nicht los

Ich suche die Hand, die uns einst verband

Bevor es alles verschwand

Plagued by skepticism, but never asked

No duty clouds my vision now

But the skepticism is great, you can't get rid of it

I seek the hand that once bound us
