Над землёю алеет закат, и разлука всё ближе и ближе;

Только разум не может принять, что тебя я в последний раз вижу.

Атмосферную толщу проткнув, засверкает на солнце лучистом

И исчезнет, во тьме потонув, корабля фюзеляж серебристый.

Ты вернёшься ещё молодым в свете ярких лучей на рассвете,

Только мир этот будет другим: сотни лет пронесутся на свете.

И земля цвести там будет под январским небом чистым,

И июльской тёплой ночью белый снег в траве

И на нити световодов иней ляжет серебристый,

Лишь тебя не возвратит мне сила разума людей.

Год прошёл на далёкой Земле, но тебя, как и прежде, люблю я;

И в туманной, мерцающей мгле лунный свет мне твой образ рисует.

Солнце стало теперь для тебя тёмно-красной холодной звездою,

Только в памяти также горят его краски вечерней зарёю.

И лишь когда заходит солнце, возвращаешься ко мне ты

В быстром сне чтоб вновь напомнить, что надежды нет…

Но неужели смог забыть ты наши первые рассветы:
