Police - Cold As Life

Police all around me, telling me to freeze, down on my knees

Nightsticks bouncing off my head, what’d I do, I said as I bled

Get up but I couldn’t move, faced to the ground as the blood flew

Destroyed, broken inside, if no one was watching I would of died

Woke up in a concrete cell, cops are laughing, ha he fell

In court lying through their teeth, making up stories, pointing fingers at me

Ridiculed, punished with prejudice, pleas ignored, where’s justices

Taken away to the county jail, lost in a system that’s down to fail

No way out of this place, do the time, don’t catch another case

No wonder everybody hates you, pry inside the mind of a man

You’ll soon be through

Who are you to break a man down

Out number him five to one with guns

In front of his wife and kids

You take out your rage, America’s stunned

What happened to the day you were here to serve and protect

Nothing but a punk ass licensed to bust heads
