und zwar im Handumdreh’n.

Das lernt man sonst in keiner Stadt

so gut

so schnell und schön.

Und wenn sie noch 'was lernen soll’n

dann kommen sie hier her.

Hier zeigt man ihnen

was sie woll’n

und noch ein bisschen mehr!

Und gibt mir irgendwann 'mal jemand einen Kuss

dann sieht man mich verwundert an und sagt: «Ein solcher Kuss

das wäre ein Genuss

wo man denn sowas lernen kann.

Da sag' ich: «Olala

Monsieur

woll’n Sie es wissen

s’il vous plait.

Das hab' ich in Paris gelernt…

Wenn einmal ein junger Mann besonders höflich ist

und zu den Damen sehr galant.

Wenn er gut tanzen kann

und Komplimente macht

wie sie hier meistens unbekannt

fragt ihr

wo er denn das studiert?

Dann sagt er höflich reserviert:

Das hab' ich in Paris gelernt…

I learned that in Paris

in a jiffy.

You don't learn that in any other city

so good

so fast and beautiful.

And if they still have something to learn

then come here.

Here you show them

what they want

and a little bit more!

And someday someone will give me a kiss

then you look at me in amazement and say: "Such a kiss

that would be a treat

where you can learn something like that.

Then I say: «Olala

monsieur

do you want to know?

s'il vous plait.

When a young man is particularly polite

and very gallant to the ladies.

If he's good at dancing

and compliments

as they are mostly unknown here

you ask

where does he study that?

Then he says politely reserved:
