Clanging of steel

The snapping of banners in the wind

Angry shouts ring out under clamor of man and beast

In the heat of mounting agitation

Thoughts that breathe and words that burn

In the core of my indignation

For this land I will fight

For my King I would walk the valley of the shadow

With chivalry as our crest

We unite in the common cause for which we’d lay down our lives

Onward toward the peaks

Climbing on through jagged terrain

The battle’s now begun — between the fatigue and dreams of destiny

The pace of our stride regenerates our passion

To ride on wings of victory

Sleep comes hard as I try to find

Comfort in the chill of a frozen bed

My very bones feel the stubborn ache

From this challenge … this arduous campaign

Even faster into Moorish lands

Eager for the feast that will crown our mighty deeds
