Ci leggo la rassegnazione di chi c'è passato

Lo sguardo spento di chi ha torto anche se sta nel giusto

Le idee confuse di chi ambiva a un percorso diverso

Allude a un passo falso

Qualsiasi giorno perso equivale a un vecchio rimorso

Mi han visto crescere e trasformarmi con gli anni

Cercando sempre il modo migliore per consigliarmi

Resto spaesato, stupito senza fiato

Incantato dai racconti di un passato già archiviato

Fatto di regole distanti

Di atteggiamenti tipici e principi solidi ma d’altri tempi

Sento il calore con cui parlano

Cercando di istruirmi sulla vita e sulle apparenze che ingannano

Sui retroscena che ci spiazzano e confondono

Sulle illusioni che spesso ci condizionano

Saranno loro a consolarmi in ogni mia sventura

Se sono pronto a stare in piedi quando è vita amara

È soltanto grazie ai loro sforzi e alla loro premura

Ma la speranza che un giorno io trovi la mia strada

Vedono in me quello che avrebbero voluto
