Now in the cities where I lived I had a careless friend (A)

Who started crossing streets all happily

he thought that cause the light was green

no car would cross his path,

Oh, but that was where he 's wrong unfortunatly

because he jumped and got confusion

by jumping to conclusions

So be careful gals and guy take a tip and you’d be wise (A)

We had a country square dance and a dozen village boys

asked my cousin Kate to take her there

But Kate she waited till to late to pick her date because

She thought she’d rate the local millionair

She jumped--- Jumped to conclusions

Shattered her illusions
