Sníh a mráz opouští krajinu

Jarní vítr přišel včas, už čeří hladinu

Kam z luk a polí voda stéká

Plní se řeka zkraje jara

Zavládne klid, co znám

Na nahé prosté zemi

A srdce svírá se mi a procitá

Radostí křičím do ticha

Být samotnou částí dne

Kdy zapomenu na dech

Necítit, nevidět

Jen propadávat skrze

Nebe nachově zbarvené

Protínat jako jehla

Když šije v samotě

Svůj osud, který nezná

Být tajnou skrýší ve skalách

Kam děti ukládají vše cenné

A navečer slunci zamávat

Jít spát do noci němé

Být tichou vodou v řece

Jež poslouchá krajinu

Před krásou její klečet

Jemnou přízí se ovinout

Zapomenout, jen nehybně ležet

Vlídná noc k nebesům uléhá

A černí ptáci, co míří k lesu

Jakoby volali, přidej se k nám

A já se snažím, snad se i trochu vznesu

Pro krásu světa učím se létat

A tak piju jako pijavice

Upíjím z každé krásné noci

To když Na Radosti z dálky bijí zvony

A já po kmeni do koruny

Šplhám pod dohledem luny

Než rozpustím se v šeru

Být samotnou částí dne

Kdy zapomenu na dech

For the beauty of the world, I learn to fly
