Forces are lurking in shelter of trees

Silence is creeping upon you

Assembled are peasants with rage in their hearts

To fight for their right to be free

United we stand against royal demands

Death to defilers of Småland!

Pitchfork and crossbow aim for their prey

Awaiting the lethal command

Rose of the dawn, so withered

We’ll repay with bloodshed

One by one they fall
