A recluse in perpetual midnight

Craving to reach a height so I need to ignite

Ignite a flame to smolder what is my current plight

Because I imagine my aspiration and my ideal

Then there’s the thought that they might never be real

Or worse they manifest and I’m insatiable

I mean I think that’s the test and it’s debatable

But do you ever reach success and say I’ve made it all

Or

Is the pursuit of happiness for the delusional
