Entre el querer y no poder

La vida viene y va sin gran medida

Y el tiempo pasa sin mirar

Adonde ha de llegar el que camina

¿Cómo saber si hay un lugar

En donde terminar

La travesía?

Ser o no ser no es la cuestión fundamental

Porque soy hasta el final

Una misma cosa

Pero me importa recobrar la ingenuidad

De poder recomenzar

Y que el amor responda

Una experiencia por fatal

No puede condenar la poesía

Ni tan siquiera relegar

Lo más elemental: la fantasía

¿Dónde está el sueño y dónde está

La propia realidad

Que nos habitan?

Nunca se ha visto mariposa sin su flor

Ni una herida sin dolor

Ni corazón que esconda;

Por eso en toda geografía lo esencial

Es crear lo inhabitual

Cuando la pasión desborda

No hay mayor fuerza ni razón

Que la que viene de tu corazón

Cuando a lo lejos cielo y mar

Son uno y mismo azul para la vista

No importa mucho la versión

Que aquí dos cosas son, y muy distintas

¡Porqué creer también es ver

Que están por suceder

Las maravillas!

Si aún no es posible unir la espera con el fin

Y la historia por venir

No excita la ocurrencia

Dar tiempo al tiempo es una idea baladí

Pues el futuro ya está aquí

Con poca y gran urgencia

Between wanting and not being able

Life comes and goes without much measure
