Als HäTte Ich Nichts Mehr Zu Sagen

Wortlos stehe ich da

sehe Gesagtes verblassen

paradox herzzerreissende Stille

als hätte ich alles schon gesagt

doch gesagt ist nur was an der Oberfläche treibt

so lächerlich erscheint es

die paar Tränen sind erst der Anfang

die Welt hält noch süsseren Schmerz für uns bereit

was wiegt da schon mein Leid

wenn tausend Kinderaugen weinen

wenn Menschen stumm die Qual ertragen

wenn die ganze Menschheit blind

dem eigenen Untergang entgegensteuert

doch was soll ich da noch sagen

auf mein Selbstmitleid gespuckt

mit einem Lächeln auf meinen Lippen

in einem skurrilen Tanz und offenen Händen

einmal noch die Welt umarmt

I stand there without a word

see what is said fade away

paradoxically heartbreaking silence

as if I had already said it all

but only what floats on the surface is said

it seems so ridiculous

the few tears are just the beginning

the world has sweeter pain in store for us

what does my sorrow weigh?

when a thousand children's eyes cry

when people silently endure the torment

when all mankind is blind

heading towards its own downfall

but what else can I say?

spat on my self-pity

with a smile on my lips

in a whimsical dance and open hands

once again embraced the world
