We were young and we were running through the fields of heather

Carelessly lighthearted in the sun

Not thinking about the future we felt immortal

Our life together only just begun

But the change of seasons made us different.

There was something in the way you looked at me

I couldn’t deal with the change within you

I just wanted to be free

We used to climb the tower to our secret hide out

where we had so many secrets to share

I ran away into the open air

from this adolescent burden
