Venían del desierto,

de los cerros y del mar,

el corazón se desató

y largóa caminar.

Sabían de la muerte,

lo duro que es el pan,

venían del desierto,

El camarada les habló

de nuestra humanidad,

la historia de la mina,

del campo y la ciudad,

Vibróen el alma

tanta humillación

y toda aquella multitud

comprendióla hermandad.

Volvieron al trabajo,

minero y pescador,

cantando la esperanza,

labrando la unión,

con cañas y tambores

y flautas de metal,

sembrando las semillas

que todos gozarán.
